Weekend

We've had a nice weekend. Friday night we went to watch my cousin's band play. He's the drummer in a classic rock band, and it's always fun to watch.
Yesterday was my mom's birthday and she & I went to see 27 Dresses. It was a really cute chick flick! If you're a girl, I definitely recommend seeing it!! While we were relaxing with popcorn and soda, our husbands were slaving away in our basement. Jason & my dad installed 12 power outlets, a light switch and 2 huge florescent lights for Jason's future work room. It looks great, and of course he's ecstatic to have it done.
Last night Jason's sister & her family came over to hang out. Mia was so lovey and cute and climbed into my lap and gave me a hug. I was so excited, until she revealed her true motivation and asked for a "chip" (pretzel). Conniving little cutie!!
Jason's other recent project was turning the unused 3rd bedroom into his dart room, complete with a homemade backboard and dartboard light.

Catch-Up Post

I've been on blog hiatus for the past month, so I have some catching up to do. I'll start from the beginning. The Wii has continued to be a big hit, and we've added to our repertoire Guitar Hero, Game Party (includes darts, skiball, pop-a-shot, shuffleboard, beer pong, trivia and air hockey) and Link's Crossbow training, which you play with the following:We've been having lots of fun with it, and have had lots of bowling tournaments. The biggest tournament was the night of the Francis Howell North Christmas party, where we had 15 participants in a single-elimination tournament. Erin Steinbrugge emerged as the winner and won $75:We had a very nice Christmas with our families and friends. Kelly & Greg were in town, so that was fun. Willie & Maggie enjoyed seeing their cousin Otis again - he's going to tower over them before they know it!

After Christmas, Jason & I spent about 3 days straight on the couch watching Seasons 1, 2 & 3 of The Office. We are officially on the bandwagon and we're hooked! If only the strike would end, we could continue with Season 4.

We found out over Christmas that we're going to have another niece or nephew! Jason's sister is having another baby - she's due in August. We're very excited! If this baby is half as cute as Mia, we'll be smitten yet again! Speaking of Mia, her favorite game when she's at our house is locking herself in our dogs' cages. It's really cute. Last weekend Jason's cousin Gigi had her son Gabe over here and Mia somehow convinced the poor little guy to participate in her game:

I think that's about all the updates I have for now. I'll try to post some new house pictures in the next couple of days.
